FEELING GOOD . . . . . . .
When I awaken Tuesday morning I really felt good! Hooray, hooray! It's been a long haul. When I went to the doctor's last week I complained about my lack of energy and always feeling tired. His answer was that I had been ill and I was no longer twenty-one. DUH! I knew that! So, feeling well I decided that I could accomplish something.
out of the frig, put it on the counter to warm.
Tuesday evening I set a sponge to rise
ingredients for sour dough honey bread and
using the special honey that Sunny had given me
I proceeded to make bread. I meant to take
pictures of what I was doing but got
so engrossed I forgot. However, above are
the four loaves of finished bread.
is really yummy just as is or toasted.

In the afternoon, it was so warm and sunny that I spent some time walking around the front yard. Yep, it's beginning to look like spring. The grass is green, the Magnolia tree is full of buds just ready to burst and the peonies are beginning to peep thru the earth.
Just a few pictures of some of the early
flowers that are blooming.
They are absolutely beautiful. We had a
very windy day and they are facing downward.
Ah! Spring.

The weather today is beautiful, strong sun and a warm breeze. Eloise is outside taking a sun bath on the deck and all is well with our world. With good energy, good vibes, good bread to eat and beautiful flowers to see, what more can a girl ask for?

Sounds like the perfect day!
Those are beautiful loaves of bread. Is there anything more satisfying than making homemade bread? Eating it maybe???
Glad you are feeling well again!
Doris it gladdens my heart to see you so full of energy and baking some delicious homemade sourdough bread. This may be the little nudge I need to get me started on my sourdough starter. I bought a sourdough recipe book but it's still on the shelf. I love sourdough biscuits and bread.
I can almost smell the hyacinth perfume as I look at the picture. Even Eloise is perking up and soaking the son. We still have snow on the ground but we see a bit more old grass every day. JB
Wish I could come over for a slice of toast and a spot of tea and maybe a little hookin'!
So glad you're feeling better but take it slow!
Your spring flowers are really really gorgeous!
Hugs!

The bread is beautiful! You should post your recipe!
Doris,
So happy you are having a great day. I can almost smell that homemade bread, still warm with a little peanut butter. Mmmmmm
Doris ~
Glad you are feeling better and your energy is returning. Oh, how I love fresh baked bread warm from the oven. Not like I ever made it...lol!
Your spring weather is way ahead of ours. Daffodils and just starting to bloom. Oh, the smell of hyacinth is heavenly. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs from Peanut (who is sleeping on my lap as I type this) to Eloise :)

Your bread looks so yummy! I have an Anadama recipe I need to test out this weekend! I should try a sourdough soon though!
I'm glad you are feeling well! Love your spring flowers!

Doris, it's so nice to have you by my side as I journey on this Sourdough adventure. I'm like a new mother with an infant and I check it now and then to see how it's doing. Thanks for the offer, I'll feel more secure with knowing that I can get some help from you if I need it. I'll share my pictures of success or failures but I'm optimistic that it will be OK. Hugs, JB
