"LAST OF THE SUMMER'S WINE"

He wore a "Bathelor's Button" on his lapel
They carried roses

Several shades and varieties of love flowers

An American beauty!

And the sun shall shine on them

Mellow Yellow

She wore Daisies in her hair

How lovely was she?
She was summer at her best. She will come again with all of her lovely helpers to brighten our days,
Colors to feast our eyes on,
Children's laughter and games,
Sparkling bright nights
where lighting bugs abound,
Never fear she will come again.
Doris

I love your post with summer gracefully saying her good byes and the lovely little poem. The photos are great too. Thanks for this. JB

How lovely! This summer was so much nicer in retrospect than in reality. It's the 'idea' of summer that's the most warms the heart.
Beautiful photos!

Love this Doris! I like saying good bye to summer as slow as possible! This coming week sounds like a good one to do just that. Today I brought a lot of plants in to save from the predicted frost here tonight. Kind of crazy to save them for only another week or two..............I guess I really am having trouble saying good bye!
Hugs,
