LIGIONER DAY

On Wednesday, a week ago,
my friends Barb, Nada and I
journeyed to the Woolley Fox Rug Hooking
Studio in Ligioner, Pa, to Barb Carroll's
open house and to visit the four
classes being taught at the same time.
The first thing we saw when we arrived
were these cute "rubber ducky's" in a row

They all had little hats on.
What a cute way to utilize a pond.
Then we went into the area where the rug
patterns were and of course, I had to
but Edithe O'Neils "Blue Basket" pattern.
I have been want to do this piece for a long time.

The first thing we saw in the house
was this adorable pair of Scotties all cozy in a
lovely chair.  They belong to Barb Carroll's
daughter.
One of the rugs hanging on the
wall.  Very nice!  I wish the picture was better,
but I think my flash would have been to
much.

I really love this piece, also on the
living room wall.
Of all of the pieces in her home, I liked this one
best - it had such charm.
After we finished shopping at Barb's we were off
to lunch.  In the meantime, we had met Beth and Susan,
two of our friends from Boonsboro.
Here's Beth at her car, just as we pulled up
on the same street in Ligioner, planning to
do some shopping in the lovely little
stores.

Here are Barb T. and Susan getting ready
for shopping.
This is a lovely little shop.  We had a lot of fun
looking at everything.  Everything was hand made
and absolutely delightful.  Barb purchased a lovely
hand blown glass Pear ornament.  Just beautiful.
I didn't get to see what Nada had in her
bag but it was full!
I purchased 2 lovely pictures.

After the shopping trip, the next
stop was the Town Hall to visit the rug show,
and on to the Ramada Hotel to
visit the class rooms.
Rug show and class room action
on the next posting!  Stay tuned!

Thought for the day:
There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.
